On, Wednesday, 10th December 2014, Prof. Dr. Haneef-ur- Rehman and his students of Lasbela University visited Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center (PABIC), Tissue Culture facility and other laboratories of International Center of Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS). The group was welcomed by staff of PABIC. The visit gets started by the visit of Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center (PABIC) office and PABIC library “Science for All”. Dr.Sammer Yousuf (Coordinator PABIC) elaborated them about PABIC activities, aims and objectives.

The delegation also visited the Biotechnology wing of International Center of Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS). Dr. Ameer, took them for survey of Plant Tissue Culture, Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology, Biotransformation, and Immunological and Molecular Diagnostics labs. The delegation was happy to get an opportunity to visit the well-equipped Green House Fields of ICCBS with automated temperature controller and organized irrigation system.

Students showed keen interest while visiting different labs of Biotechnology. They said “we got useful information related to the practical aspects of the educational course which cannot be visualized in lectures”. Dr. Haneef-ur-Rehman expressed his views that “ICCBS provides lots of opportunities to the young researchers under one shelter. In the course of this tour our students had the opportunity to know that Pakistan has made so much development in biotechnology field.” They also visited Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Science Information Center (L.E.J), Center for Bioequivalence Studies and Bioassay Research (CBSBR), Jamil-ur-Rahman Center for Genome Research, Industrial Analytical Center (IAC).
