On Tuesday, 5 April 2016 Students of Jinnah University for Women along with their teachers Visited Pakistan Biotechnology Information Centre (PABIC), Biotechnology Wing and other laboratories of International Centre of Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS). The visit gets started by the visit of Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center (PABIC) office and PABIC library “Science for All”. Dr. Sammer Yousuf (Coordinator PABIC) elaborated them about PABIC activities, aims and objectives. She said; “PABIC was established in order to exchange information & enhance coordination among institution & practitioners of biotechnology.”
The delegation also visited the Biotechnology wing of International Center of Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS).The staff of Biotechnology wing took them for survey of the Plant Tissue Culture, Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology, Biotransformation, and Immunological and Molecular Diagnostics labs. Researcher, who was leading the group, provided the valuable inputs and practical tactic to the students to enhance their knowledge.

The students were happy to get an opportunity to visit the well-equipped Green House Fields of ICCBS. Students share their views by saying; “This visit provided an insight on what measures have been taken for improvement in the quality & yield of crops and also provided useful information related to the course which cannot be visualized in lectures. We got the opportunity to learn through observation needed for budding professionals.”
