In order to raise awareness among the young scholars about biotechnology, the PABIC has announced essay and Posters competition entitled; “Agri-Biotechnology Research in Pakistan” on 15th September 2017 through advertisement. The competition was welcomed by metric/O-levels students participated from all over Pakistan. In the response of this competition, PABIC received 85 essays (Urdu and English) and 57 posters from the government and private sectors, and high schools which reflect the intellect and curiosity of our young scholar’s mind about the agriculture biotechnology and its contributions in the socioeconomic development of Pakistan. The posters and essays were evaluated for the innovation, presentation, and relevance to the topic by a jury.
“The Essay & Poster Competition stands as the most anticipated programme for schools over the years and provides an opportunity for students to explore scientific themes through art or written language, thereby developing their skills in research, observation, expression, and presentation. The students showcased their art and writing skills while displaying their knowledge of coal, the state’s most abundant natural resource through their essays and posters”, said by Prof. Dr. Iqbal M.
