Biotechnology for Economic Prosperity

The National Commission on Biotechnology (NCB) in collaboration with National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE) has been holding symposia on' the application of biotechnology in agriculture, health, industry and the environment'.
These efforts have eyielded positive results and fostered collaborations and linkages among different institutions.These efforts are now entering a phase where economic impact of biotechnology will be felt in the country.
Keeping in view success of previous efforts, NIBGE and NCB are holding a National Symposium on applications of Biotechnology in agriculture, health, industry and the environment.
The symposium will have invited speakers to discuss the state of the art in applications of biotechnology in creating new products and will be followed by presentations on application of biotechnology in the following areas:
- Agriculture Biotechnology.
- Environment Biotechnology.
- Industrial Biotechnology.
- Animal Biotechnology.
- Health Biotechnology.
