The Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center (PABIC), is actively working as a resource based information center in Pakistan, to design educational approaches, to train interdisciplinary scientist in emerging area of health, agriculture, bioinformatics and environmental biotechnology.
To promote the understanding of the biotechnology and related biological sciences among the youth of Pakistan, the PABIC announces the internship program (one month) in collaboration with ICCBS institutions for the final year H. S. C. / A Level (with science subjects) of the colleges and schools of Pakistan in the following fields:
- Molecular Biology (Molecular Enzymology/ Stem Cell Research/ Structural Biology, Molecular and Cellular Immunology)
- Plant Biotechnology
- Drug Discovery
- Computational Chemistry and Bioinformatics
- Medical Diagnosis
Eight students from the Malir Cann.t College successfully completed their Internship The certificate distribution ceremony was held on 3rd August, 2016 at the Guest House of ICCBS, University of Karachi. Director PABIC, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary distributed certificates along with honorarium of Rs. 5000 to the successful candidates. On this Occasion, He said “Biotechnology is a tool that can be effectively utilized in all facets of national development, including health, industry, and environment.” He urged the Young scholars to participate in such internships which are very constructive for their future career. Young scholars shared their views about their experience, they said “We got the best opportunity to enhance our skill by integrating academic curriculum and real-world work experience and they also said “we would love to participate in such kind of internship programs in your organization”.
