Sharing Data Services:

Pakistan Biotechnology Information Center (PABIC)

will facilitate sharing data services across the

institutions, industries and biotechnology based

networks.

 

Capacity building :

PABIC will give major emphasis on capacity building

at various levels, ranging from policy makers,

administrators, scientists, media specialists, and

NGOs.

 

Stakeholders Network:

PABIC will generate networks support activities such

as organizing seminars and workshops and solving

various constraints by appropriate strategies. PABIC

will disseminate science base information on

biotechnology related topics to its members and

general public and to assist them in making informed

decisions on the subject.

 

Sustainablitity:

PABIC intend to ensure the sustainability of its

activities through voluntary financial contributions of its

members as well as grants and aids from national and

international financial organizations.

 

PABIC Web site:

A web site is launched to share information about the R&D activities and policy development

in biotechnology, related to health, agriculture, and environment. All researchers are welcomed to

submit their contributions to this web site.

PABIC Library:

A digital library having biotechnology related books, journals, literature, magazines, articles, C.D

and D.V.D. has been established at the Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Science Information

Center, University of Karachi.

 

PABIC Events:

Public lectures, symposia, poster contests, workshops, training courses, and students based

activities will be organized to raise awareness, enhance interest, share prospectives, address

challenges, discuss strategies, and to design collaborative programs in biotechnology.
