FAISALABAD, Nov 3: The University of Agriculture will raise a technology park to demonstrate its products and technology for catching the attention of the farmers and other stakeholders.
UAF vice-chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmed stated this at the inaugural ceremony of the Kisan Mela and International Dairy Conference held at the institution on Monday.
He said some technologies for this park were in take off and incubatory position that would definitely benefit the growers. The UAF, he said, had transferred the citrus nursery from soil to green houses to produce virus-free plants. He said the institution had also started supply of virusfree plants to the citrus growers. Dr Iqrar said the next green revolution would be based upon biotechnology, drip irrigation, CA technology and precision agriculture.
