FAISALABAD (May 26 2009): University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Ali Akbar Group have inked MoU to develop an agricultural information management system, and to work for development of transgenic and conventional hybrids and verities in agronomics and horticultural crops, tissue culture, micopropagation, pesticide formulations, evaluation and efficacy testing and resistance management, drip irrigation and other water management systems.

The signing ceremony was held in VC Chamber where Professor Dr Iqrar A Khan and Saad Akbar Khan put their signature on the document. According to details, both parties agreed upon that Ali Akbar Group would support UAF in the organisation of Kisan Melas, farmer gatherings, exhibitions, workshops, seminars and other such activities of mutual interest like internship programme.

Abdul Nasir Marketing Manager, Waqas Shujaat Director High Efficiency Irrigation System of Ali Akbar Group, Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain Registrar, Professor Dr Asif Ali, Director External Linkages, and Principal Officer PRP Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif were present on the occasion.
